Introduction

Welcome to Horizons by Quest Global (“Horizons”), a thought leadership platform dedicated to advancing knowledge, promoting innovation, and solving the toughest engineering problems of tomorrow. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Horizons portal (horizons.questglobal.com), including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through the portal.

Please read these Terms carefully before using Horizons. By accessing or using Horizons, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use Horizons.

  • “Horizons” means the Horizons portal and platform operated by Quest Global.

  • “Member” means a User who has registered for and been approved to access member-only content and features.
  • “Content” means all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, videos, messages, or other materials that Users may access on, view on, or contribute to Horizons.
  • “User Content” means Content that a User or Member submits, uploads, or otherwise makes available on Horizons.
  • “Quest Global“, “we“, “us“, or “our” means Quest Global Services Pte. Ltd. and its affiliates.


User Types And Access Levels

Horizons offers different levels of access:

  1. General Users: Can access and view publicly available Content on Horizons without registration.
  2. Members: After registration and approval, Members can access exclusive Content, participate in discussions, comment on articles, and submit their own Content. Membership is subject to approval and may be revoked at our discretion.


Registration And Membership

Account Registration

To become a Member, you must complete the registration process by providing accurate, current, and complete information. Registration requests are subject to moderation, and we reserve the right to deny or revoke membership at our discretion.

Account Credentials

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Profile Information

As a Member, you may provide additional information for your profile, including professional details, interests, and preferences. This information helps us personalize your experience and may be visible to other Members.

User Content And Conduct

User Content Submissions

Members may submit Content to Horizons, subject to these Terms. All User Content submissions are subject to moderation and may be edited, removed, or rejected at our discretion.

License to User Content

By submitting User Content to Horizons, you grant Quest Global a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such User Content in any media, form, or technology, for any purpose, including for promoting Quest Global and its services.

User Conduct

You agree not to use Horizons to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person
  • Transmit any material that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Introduce viruses, Trojan horses, worms, or other harmful code
  • Interfere with the operation of Horizons
  • Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Engage in commercial activities without our prior written consent

Community Interactions

When interacting with other Members in comments, forums, or other community features, you agree to maintain professional conduct and respect for diverse viewpoints. We reserve the right to remove any communications that violate these Terms.

Intellectual Property

Quest Global Intellectual Property

The Horizons name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Quest Global or its affiliates. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

Content Ownership

Unless otherwise indicated, all Content available on Horizons is the property of Quest Global or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Limited License to Content

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Horizons and its Content for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

Privacy And Data Protection

No Warranties

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Quest Global shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use Horizons.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Quest Global and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of Horizons, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

Modifications To Horizons And Terms

Changes to Horizons

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Horizons or any part of it at any time, with or without notice to you.

Amendments to Terms

We may amend these Terms at any time by posting the amended terms on Horizons. Your continued use of Horizons after the posting of amended Terms constitutes your acceptance of the amended Terms.

Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using any account deletion mechanism we provide.

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to Horizons at any time, for any reason, without notice or liability.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access and use Horizons will cease immediately. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Miscellaneous

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or Horizons shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Singapore.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Quest Global regarding your use of Horizons and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign these Terms or any rights or obligations hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
